Highfields Pioneer Village, Museum and Park Inc. held their Annual General Meeting on Sunday, June 4th. Giving his annual report, President Mervyn Polzin said: “the most success has been the completion of the miniature steam train project, both in popularity and financially to raise much needed funds for the Village.
Also the extension of the ‘Ironbark Cattle Yards’. Many other improvements to various specialty museums including the transport and fire museum displays. The enlarged covered eating area has proved itself with special events and visiting groups, including hundreds of school children, senior citizens, car club meets and social clubs.
A special thanks to all volunteers, gardeners, handymen, mechanics, carpenters, cooks, damper makers and especially the office volunteers”.
